1. Can Myofunctional Therapy help me?

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy helps retrain orofacial muscles to perform its functions correctly. 

We focus on improving nasal breathing, chewing and swallowing, and optimizing the rest posture of the lips and tongue.

2. Do you see patients online? 
Yes! Most of the patients are seen online. Initial evaluations are in person at the Ashburn or Herndon location. 
 

3. How much does it cost?

20min.  Initial consultation is free

60-90min. Comprehensive Evaluation $1200
Comprehensive Myofunctional Therapy Program is $1200

Habit elimination program is $500

4. How long does treatment take?
Treatment can range from 3-4 months for adults. But this is not a rule, it depends on the chief complaint, motivation of the patient, and if any other therapy/treatment modalities are involved.

5. What types of payment do you accept? 

We accept all major credit cards. As well as, FSA and HSA. All payments can be done online through our patient portal.
 

6. Do you take insurance?

Orofacial myologist or myofunctional therapist are not in network with any insurance companies. Myofunctional therapy is not covered well by insurance largely because it is an emerging field and most insurance companies are not aware of it.  We can provide you with a  Superbill which may help you get reimbursed, but we will not be able to generate the Superbill until you are actively undergoing therapy as our patient.  We cannot supply Superbills after each session or after the initial evaluation because you must show your insurer that you have already undergone treatment for which you are requesting reimbursement.
